Collection: May 2024 Tabletalk

The May 2024 issue of Tabletalk will explore the biblical, theological, and historical warrant for church planting, especially in the context of the Reformed tradition. Many Christians wonder if planting churches is a worthwhile endeavor. The biblical and historical testimony, however, is that faithful churches’ planting other faithful churches is the means by which God fulfills His mission to redeem a people for Himself made up of every tribe, tongue, and nation. This issue of Tabletalk will help readers understand the Bible’s teaching on the nature and purpose of the church and how church planting is a necessary implementation of this biblical teaching. It will also address many of the common challenges and questions regarding church planting, showing how the Scriptures provide principles and encouragement for the work of establishing new churches.
