Collection: September 2023 Tabletalk
The September 2023 issue of Tabletalk will offer an overview of biblical archaeology. Over the past 150 years or so, the discipline of biblical archaeology has made discoveries that have dramatically improved our knowledge of the Bible’s historical context and language. The findings of archaeologists have routinely been cited even in the secular media, and many works of apologetics have employed archaeological discoveries in their defense of the accuracy of Scripture. While biblical archaeology has done much for the church, however, there remains confusion over exactly how the discipline is to be used in apologetics and unfamiliarity with how archaeology should be used in Bible study. This issue of Tabletalk will address these matters and others while also introducing readers to some of the most significant archaeological discoveries related to Scripture.
Contributors include Burk Parsons, Keith A. Mathison, R. Andrew Compton, Joshua J. Van Ee, John D. Currid, Mary Beeke, Robert M. Godfrey, Matthias Lohmann, Robert Rothwel, Tedd Tripp, Neil C. Stewart, Scott James, Daniel Schrock, and Ken Jones.
