Machen clearly demonstrates that to compromise with theological liberalism at any point is to put the church on a path to destruction. Evangelicalism in our day, facing many threats both inside and outside the church, is hearing the call to compromise with theological liberalism even though the battles may not always be exactly the same as they were in Machen’s day.
