The April 2023 issue of Tabletalk will help readers understand and apply the concepts of the church militant and the church triumphant. The church militant and the church triumphant are traditional ways that the church has distinguished between the church on its current pilgrimage in the world and the church as it exists in heaven. Although the church is ultimately one, it is made up of members who live on each side of heaven, and each group of members enjoys particular privileges and does certain things. Knowing the distinction between the church militant and church triumphant helps us focus on the tasks that Christ has given us in the present and to look forward to what He has in store for us. This issue will consider the church militant and the church triumphant from several different perspectives and assist readers in applying these concepts today.
